October, November and December are the best months of the year in my opinion. The leaves are gorgeous, the first snowfall, and of course the holidays!! I love Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I'm sure one of the reasons I love all of these holidays is because they all involve food which is kind of a challenge when you are trying to eat healthy and make good choices.. But I will prevail and I will allow myself some pumpkin pie. I have to. Just a little piece.
October has already come and gone. One Monday night we went up to Butterfield Canyon and took some really gorgeous pictures of the leaves.
And no, I haven't fixed my camera yet in case you were wondering. Halloween was the best we have had so far. We went to the schools Monster Math night part, we had a party for the Achievement Day Girls, and the day of Halloween was really fun. The girls looked so cute in their costumes and we had a great time walking around the neighborhood trick or treating and visiting with everyone. Can I just say I love my neighborhood? Even though we are in the "ghetto" I really love it here. We really have such great friends and neighbors. We decided to let the girls go trick or treating as long as they wanted. I couldn't believe how much candy they got! Insane amounts... Maybe we won't go so long next year.

And now here we are in November. The Halloween decorations are down and my Thanksgiving ones are up. Of course when November rolls around you start really thinking about what you are thankful for, right? Well today I had a very deep thought while I was cleaning my house. I had to change out of my
Levi's and put on something comfortable and the thought came to me, By golly, I am so thankful for my cotton
Capri's. This pair of
Capri's has seen me through thick and thin. Literally...
Let's start at the beginning. I had Haley two weeks before my 22
nd birthday. On my birthday my dear, sweet sister Jodie bought me a really cute post-baby outfit. A cute striped shirt and some navy blue cotton
Capri's. I was very happy. The drawstring pants were perfect for the
awkward phase of trying to get back into my normal clothes. Had I known what an impact these
Capri's would have on my life I would have been shocked. I am still wearing these
Capri's today my friends. I only wore them as actual pants for the first year that I had them and then they started to fade and became my most favorite pair of pajamas. Down below is a picture that I took today of these pants. This is so not cute, but you needed a picture of them. This is me saying, "Woot, woot! Ten years, baby.."

Almost ten years later and they are still with me. In fact Jake and I fight over them all of the time. Have I mentioned that my husband is very confident in himself and he has no problems at all wearing my pajama bottoms? Once he answered the door in my pink snowman pajama pants. True story. Jake is all about comfort my friends and he doesn't care how he gets it. So whenever I walk out wearing them or he does the other person always has to comment how unfair it is that they got them first. These pants have seen me through good times and bad. They have led me through two pregnancies, many different sizes and many nights lounging on the couch. I love you my blue
Capri's. Let's try and have ten more good years together.. Happy November everyone. For all two or three of you that read my blog, I am thankful for you too.

Ok, now I am jealous that you have two pairs of these amazing pants! They are durable for sure. :)
I laughed out loud when you said that you and Jake share them. You are way too nice! I would never let Travis share my clothes.
This was our first year of good trick-or-treating too. Zion has soooo much candy, it is crazy!
