Our visit to Nephi.

Last Thursday and Friday we went down to Nephi to stay with my friend Karla. She invited us down for the Ute Stampede and to stay with them for a couple of days. We had the best time!! It was so much fun. We got down to Nephi around 4:00 on Thursday and we went over to her parents house (Jackie and John) and met up with them and some other family members for dinner. Malinda is Karla's cousin and our old roommate too. She was there with her parents and it was so fun to see her again. Then we had Karla's brother Austin and his wife Kara and their cute little girls. They were all so nice. Here we are hanging out until we leave to the rodeo. Karla's parents have the coolest patio. They have a patio set, tons of comfy chairs and a built in bench that is decorated so cute. They also have a radio, cute candles and a built in fan. It is so stinking cute!!! I ♥ it. I envy it. I want it. Hanging out until it was time to go to the Stampede. (*I still need to get my camera fixed*)
Cute girls. I don't know how much longer Haley is going to tolerate me having them all with the same hair-do? I will try to get away with it as long as I can. After dinner we walked down just one block to the stampede. We had awesome seats! It was perfect. Though I have to admit that after three hours all of our bums were aching. Karla the beautiful. Her hair is naturally curly and so gorgeous.
This is where my jealousy almost got out of control. I want to be a cowgirl!!
Now is that an awesome picture, or what?!
Jake and Ashley enjoying the rodeo. This was Jake's first rodeo and he loved it!
Ah yes, the cowboys. Mmmmm,mmmm.. I think I am going to buy Jake a cowboy get up for Christmas.
This was our view during the rodeo. It was so pretty. That night after the rodeo we went back to Karla's parents house and had dessert. Austin lit a couple of awesome fireworks and Karla's husband passed out glowsticks and turned on some fun music. We goofed off for awhile and then we ended up sitting around and telling embarrassing moments. There were some good one's. By the time we went back to Karla's it was 1:30 am. Way past our bedtime. We camped out in Karla's basement and the next morning we had a big breakfast back at her parents house with everyone.
Karla is the type of person that is so crafty and always likes to have fun things planned. So, the first thing we did was walk to the railroad track and put some penny's down to get smashed. These are the kind of fun things people do in the country! Who knew?
We let the kids make cute little necklaces with their smashed penny's and we also made flip flops with cute material on them. It was really fun visiting and being crafty. The guys went and hit some golf balls for awhile. Poor Jake, he's never golfed before so I think he was feeling a little out of place. He ended up having fun though and he said all of the guys were so nice and gave him some good pointers. I tell you what, I have a very sweet husband. He had no idea who these people were and yet he went out of his comfort zone and went down for a few days because he knew it would make me happy. Love him!!!
Rosemary, Malinda, Karla and Kara working on their flip flops.
Here's Jackie, Karla's Mom. I love this lady! After college I went and hung out at their house in Arizona quite a few times. This family knows how to make anyone feel comfortable and loved. Here's my Karly with her cute flip flops on. Haley is so funny. This girl loves accessories. As you can see, she is sporting glow sticks that are made into hoop earrings, her penny necklaces, and a piece of material tied into a fashionable scarf. She makes me laugh. :)
After we were done being crafty it was time to head back home to our pups. Abbey came and stayed with them but had to go to work in the morning so they were lone pups in the house. Thankfully we came home to no accidents or disasters. They are such good dogs. What a great trip! It is times like these when I wonder how lucky I was to have such great roommates. We are still friends after all of these years. ♥ Pinetree 29 will always hold a special place my heart. ♥

What a fun time. I agree that Jake is very loving to go hang out doing something he's never done before with people he's never met before. That's a real man. I love the way he loves you because I love you. :)(Was that too cheesey?) Haley's accessories are fantastic.
