Mothers Day Weekend

What a crazy, fun weekend we just had. Jake finally had the weekend off and we partied it up. We had a million things going on and it was pretty hectic, but they were all fun things so it wasn't too bad. On Saturday we had a family breakfast with the Youngdell side for Mother's Day and it was really fun. We ate breakfast and enjoyed the gorgeous weather at Murray Park. The guys played ball, the kids played on the playground and the women visited. Good times. The reason we were laughing so hard in this picture is because Jamie's dog Jasmin was standing between Debbie's legs. She thought she needed to be in the picture. Sadly we didn't get it in the picture.
After we hung out with Jake's family my Mom had all of the girls in our family over for lunch at her house and she gave us each a bunch of herbs and some pots to plant them in. I am so excited!!! I love to cook with herbs but they are so stinking expensive. Now I can have herbs for cheap. Let's hope I don't kill them... I had to cut my visit short at my Mom's because we had a Mother/Daughter activity planned for Achievement Days that I was partly in charge of. We didn't have a great turn out, but it was still fun. I love my calling. I work with the cutest girl named Heidi and I just love her. After that was over I wanted to plant my butt on the couch and do nothing and that was exactly what I did! I sat and watched old reruns of Charles in Charge that I got at the library. I love how the library has so many old TV shows from my childhood on DVD. I tell you they don't make good TV shows like they use to. Sunday morning I woke up to lots of presents and my favorite bagels for breakfast. Jake took the girls shopping and he let them pick out whatever they wanted to get me. Oh boy... that would be ok if it was at a cheap store, but Jake decided to take them to Ulta. He went over to Jordan Landing and ended up there. I don't think he even knew what kind of store it was. :) Ulta is awesome, but pricey. Heck, I don't even shop there.. So, needless to say I got some pretty nice gifts! Body wash, lotion, perfume and a nice bag. My sweet husband also surprised me with some caramel apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. DELICIOUS. Jake really knows how to spoil a girl. He's so sweet. We went to church and all of the meetings were so good. I found myself getting really choked up during a sweet poem that a sister in our ward read about her mother. I think of the love I have for my Mom and I really can't express it. I love my Mom more than I can say. Besides Jake, she is my best friend. She is always there when I need her and I have learned the greatest life lessons from her. She is funny, kind, and beautiful. I am lucky to be her daughter.

After church we went to my parents to have dinner and visit. The best part of that visit was that Aaron got to call home and we got to Skype with him. It was so good to talk to him. He is doing so good. He is so happy and loving every minute of his mission. Where's Haley? I didn't see her until I pulled up this picture. :) All of the girls in the family. In case you are curious the girl in the orange jacket is Kaleb's girlfriend Erin. Hey, do you gys like Ashley's green panties?

Skyping with Elder Filby. (I apologize for the purple line running down every picture. I need to get my camera fixed. ) Ok, here are some of the humorous pictures we took. Jake took the majority of them and I must give him a pat on the back for a job well done. It looks like Jake is giving birth. HAHAHAHAHA! All of us died laughing when we saw this one. The one below is so funny. Jake took a picture of Jodie right as she sat down on a book. Love it!

Abbey and Haley at their finest. What a great weekend to spend with our families celebrating Mother's Day.
