It's Spring Break baby!
Today is not a regular Monday. Everybody is home this week! The girls are on Spring Break and it is Jake's week off. What great timing. I actually got some really good sleep. I only slept in till 7:15 because I fell asleep early last night. I love when I get to bed early.
I got up and got dressed and headed up to the Oval. My sister Jodie and I have been jogging/walking together and it is great way to start the morning. It's been really fun going with Jodie. We talk about our kids and husbands. We rant and rave about things that tick us off. I complain about my bra rubbing me raw and Jodie makes a crack about her tiny boobies. It's good fun.
When I got home I took a shower and went and layed back down in bed. Jake and I watched Sister Wives (that show is fascinating to me) and pretty soon I was dozing off. It wasn't exactly a great nap, but the rain made it better. I had my window open a bit so I could feel the cold breeze and listen to the drizzling rain. Heaven. I could have layed there forever. I finally drug my butt out of bed and went out to face the day.
I am still not dressed and my hair is air drying, which is never a good thing. Oh well, I am really enjoying this lazy day. I don't have them often enough. I came downstairs to catch up on some blogs and I was reading a blog that I love and she listed a bunch of her favorite blogs so of course I had to check some of them out. I checked out Pioneer Woman's blog because I have heard about it off and on through the years and holy cow that lady is amazing. She lives on a ranch, homeschools, does photography, has a food network show coming out and ten billion other things. I read a little bit and went away feeling like I was a teeny tiny grain of sand in the blogging world. There are so many amazing women out there!
The blogging world is interesting. I have been reading a blog that I really love for awhile now and I finally got the courage up to tell this girl (who is a friend of a friend) how much I loved her blog, and she didn't say anything back to me. I felt really stupid. I didn't expect her to strike up a friendship with me, but it was hard for me to admit that I was stalking her in the first place! I honestly wonder if she gets so many compliments that it was just one of the many? Maybe I will quietly stalk people from now on instead of acting like an adoring fan? Lesson learned. I guess you have to accept the good and the bad in the blogging world.
One perk to blogging is recording the funny thing your kids do and say. Here's a funny story that I want to remember. Yesterday Jake was getting ready for a High Council meeting and Haley says to him, "Are you going to a meeting with the President?" and Jake said that he was assuming she was talking about our Stake President. She then got a really puzzled look on her face and said, "Barack O'Bama?!" Actually she combined his name into something that sounded like Rock-a-bama. Jake and I died laughing!
I am so glad that I get to spend a week with my Jakey and my sweet girls. Hopefully the weather will get a little bit better so we can spend some time outside. It's called Spring Break for a reason...

I LOVE Sister Wives...I guess it's just a peek into a fascinating lifestyle. Really interesting stuff, people! Especially love counting the times that Kody (the husband) flips his hair! I love Pioneer Woman, too. Her recipes have always been major hits, so you have to try them!
Oh my heck, I must count his head flips now! That is too funny. :) Thanks for the tip on checking out the Pioneer Woman recipes. I will most definitely do that!
